Doležel, Vladimír ; Polednik, Franciszek (referee) ; Koleňák, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis has been elaborated on the basis of a real issue, which a company, which decided to procure it’s full time presence in the Austria’s market, is facing. The analysis of the present state, which proved the rationality of the decision, is followed by a theoretical fundament of this thesis, that lays the foundations of the specific proposal leading to reach the aim given by the company. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the core of the international trade and its brief history. The thesis is further focused on the areas of the international trade important for solving the given issue. The main areas are as follows: international trade legal regime, law of international trade, risks in the international trade, ways of penetration into a foreign market. Based on the knowledge attained in the theoretical part of this thesis, while applying them, I have come to the conclusion, that it would be best for the company to establish a branch office in the Austria. The conclusion is followed by a factual proposal of progress supplemented by a calculation of costs of establishing the branch office and calculation of operating costs for the first year. I am also proposing a strategy for legal relationships being concluded by a branch office and marketing strategy for the first year.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the measurement of international trade intensity of agricultural commodities and their associated industries in the EU27 in 2010 and 2020. The theoretical part of the thesis summarises the basic theories of interna-tional trade and trade intensity calculation. In this part, the results of international trade intensity measurement so far are also present. In the practical part, the measurement is carried out using principles based on intra-industry trade and comparative advantage. Intra-industry trade is calculated by the Grubel-Lloyd in-dex and comparative advantages are calculated by the NRCA index. The indices are then compared at the country level and across time periods to see, which country excels in comparative advantage and intra-industry trade.

In the practical part, the G-L and NRCA indices are se-lected on the basis of the findings of the previous section and are measured with them on data from 2012, 2017 and 2022. Přepravní proudy v kontextu principů cirkulární ekonomiky
BAJER, David
This thesis is focused on transport flows of agricultural commodities and food. The main goal is to evaluate the flows on Czech regional level in context of circular economy. Except generally appliable principles of CE, transport should be also as environmentally friendly as possible. One way of solving this matter is to apply principles of comparative advantage. Therefore, the key premise of this paper is proportional relationship between comparative advantage and export. This means that with the growth of comparative advantage exports also grows and vice versa. For this purpose, two indices were stated. First one - Trade Balance Index (TBI) that shows level of export and the second one - Normalized Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (NRCA) that quantifies comparative advantage. To define a linkage between the indices, correlation analysis was used. On the basis of the previous analysis transport flows of agricultural commodities and food were evaluated. Based on the examination of this work, the following conclusions were made. The transport flows of agricultural commodities revealed no principles of circular economy because the assumption of the proportional relationship between comparative advantage and export was not met. The opposite situation occurred in the second group. The correlation analysis proved the existence of proportional relationship between two defined indices. In this case the principles of CE were found.

Thesis is dedicated to quantifying and evaluating the intensity of international beer trade among member states of the European Union. Some international trade intensity indices were selected in order to meet this purpose. First of them being the RCA index, which serves as a tool for revealing and assessing the level of comparative advantages in member states of the EU. The subsequent procedure was aimed to express in numbers and words with help of G-L index the degree of intra-industry trade, which European beer industry reaches. Obtained results suggest notable differences in the levels of countries comparative advantages and also the existence of relatively high degree of intra-industry beer trade. Such outcome results in identification and evaluation of certain business opportunities in the area of intra-EU beer trade.
